On Sunday 11th November 2018, Cherry Lake PV plant -Quantum Group third megasolar project in Japan- was successfully connected to the grid by CHUDEN (Chubu Electric Power Company).

The Cherry Lake project, a ground mounted PV plant of 98.05 MWdc, is located in the Japanese prefecture of Mie close to Matsusaka city in former golf club lands. It is expected to supply electricity to approximately 60.000 families in the region.

Quantum performed the permitting, contracting and construction supervision of the project securing the project execution. Maetel (ACS Group), as the EPC contractor, has been successfully conducting the construction of the project producing the connection to the grid on time and according to the planned schedule.

Cherry Lake project is part of the Quantum Japan development efforts in their close to 500 MW pipeline in the country. Quantum Group holds their interests in other jurisdictions of the world predominantly in Latin and North America, Australia and some specific areas of the South Asian region.
